An Imprivata alternative
to suit your team

Looking for convenient card-based sign-in to shared computers? ChipLogin also works outside a company domain. We will discuss the features you need and recommend a solution to suit the size of your operation.

What do you need from card-based sign-in?

When choosing a solution for a factory, clinic or smaller team, start with what it should make easier for employees and who will manage it.

Scope and budget

How many computers do you want to connect, and which features will you use? Use this to assess both the purchase price and ongoing costs.

Day-to-day administration

Who will add employees and change permissions? Ask the supplier what your team can manage and where they will need help.

Integration with your environment

Check support for your computers, cards and applications. Agree on the deployment process and available support in advance.

Start with the needs of the people who will sign in every day.

What ChipLogin can offer

See whether ChipLogin covers the features you need.

Guidance through deployment

We will review your environment and agree on an installation plan. You will know what to prepare and how to start with the first computers.

No domain, no PKI

ChipLogin doesn't require Active Directory or an external PKI deployment. It manages the device certificates used for mTLS and works on standalone computers outside a domain.

Less password typing in applications

For supported applications, ChipLogin can fill in credentials after Windows sign-in too. We will discuss the specific software your team uses.

Cards and readers handled

We will assess whether your existing DESFire cards and readers can be used. If you need new equipment, we will discuss including it in the proposal.

Licensed per station

A license per workstation — buy it as a one-time purchase or as a subscription, whichever fits your budget. Either way, you only pay for the stations you actually use.

ChipLogin vs. Imprivata, straight up

Two good products for two different deployment sizes.

When to consider ChipLogin

When people share computers and you want easier sign-in with a clearer view of access.

Manufacturing and workshops

Clinics and medical practices

Hotels and front desks

Small teams and workshops

When Imprivata is still the right call

If you need extensive integrations, management of thousands of workstations or specific certifications, compare proposals against those requirements. We do not present ChipLogin as a complete replacement for every feature of an enterprise identity platform.

We will discuss which needs ChipLogin can meet and where another solution may be more suitable.

A European manufacturing company is deploying ChipLogin across ~300 workstations — installed by their own team, with no domain integration and no outside consultants.

Let's look at your operation.

Tell us where people sign in and what makes work harder today. You do not need to know card types or technical specifications. We will work through the details with you.
